It didn’t dawn on me until Sunday morning how important that win was. An after game, rash reflection on the victory was that it was another hard-fought three points but in fact it was as vital as it could possibly get. Not only did the win propel us back up to 5th but it gave the club and fans a first big lift in 2012.
So Long Shane & What Happens Next
So that’s it, he’s gone.
I’m sure every Reading fan wishes we didn’t have to sell Shane Long but his move is understandable and we at The Tilehurst End certainly wish him well.

So, the season begins on Saturday and the excitement is becoming unbearable. This will give you an insight into the season ahead and the teams that we’ll come up against and how they’ll rise to the challenge over the next nine and a bit months.
I’ve put together a projected table that takes into account many factors, including transfers, managers, the state of a club and the facilities they have available to them. It’ll be interesting to hear your views as well.

After the disappointment at Wembley I’ve decided to do an end of season review on each player, their performances over the season and how their future may look.
I’ve given each player a rank out of ten, the ranking includes not only their level of performance but how they’ve played against expectations etc.

Another interesting week for the Royals has just come to its conclusion. One poor performance ended in a fantastic point away at Leeds United and was followed up on Monday with a shock defeat to the nearly relegated Sheffield United.
